ACME was tasked with building a virtual gas station in director Rola Nashef’s critically acclaimed indy movie, Detroit Unleaded. Rola asked as to “re-face” an old gas station to make it the shiny, corporate nemesis, antagonist in the film. Images of a modern gas station were taken in hi resolution, recompiled into new facades and composited into the shots. New and old price signs and facial alteration. All to tell a story.
